The Grand Canal: The Wulin Water Bus journey takes you on a trip along part of one of the greatest man-made waterways in the world, which stretches 1,794km (1,114 miles) from Beijing to Hangzhou. Originally built in the 5th century AD, the government has spent millions of dollars since 2000 to clean up the canal. Seeing it by boat is a fascinating way to experience the ancient river life of Hangzhou. Take bus K1 from Wulin Square station to West Gongchen station to catch the boat at Gongchen Bridge, Lishui Road.
Dragon Well: Located in the clear, crisp air of the Fenghuang Hills, The Dragon Well, 148 Lion Peak, Longjing Village, is one of China's most revered tea plantations, and home to 18 different ‘royal teas.' It is also a popular tourism attraction, particularly at weekends, where you can sea tea being picked, processed and packaged. Tea tasting is also available.
