Belgrade's main train station, Železnička Stanica Beograd, is located on the busy Karađorđeva that is just a short walk southwest from the city centre. Trains are operated by Serbian Railways (Železnice Srbije) (tel: (0)11 361 6722; website: www.zeleznicesrbije.com) and the city has good connections with the rest of the country, as well as with other major towns and cities in the region.
