Public Transport
Leeds is served by a comprehensive local bus and train network that's coordinated by West Yorkshire Metro (tel: (0113) 245 7676; website: www.wymetro.com). One of the most useful services for the centre of Leeds is the City Centre Loop with stops at 18 convenient locations that form a ring around the city.
As well as standard single and return fares, visitors can also take advantage of a number of travel discount fares, the most useful of which for the weekend visitor are the West Yorkshire DayRovers. These tickets allow unlimited travel in West Yorkshire from 0930 on weekdays and all day at weekends and on bank holidays and can be purchased for either bus or train travel or both combined. There's also a FreeCityBus that operates regular shuttle services from 0630 to 1930 Mondays to Saturdays between various points of interest in and around the city centre.
