Walking tours of the city centre with a local guide are run by a number of agencies and include visits to the Parliament buildings, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), Nairobi's signature building, and the city market. There is also a ride to the top of the KICC to admire the city's skyline and the views across the national park. Nature Kenya (tel: (020) 374 9957; website: www.naturekenya.org) organises bird-watching walks from the National Museum once a week, when you can expect to see black kites, Marabou storks, sacred ibises, hornbills, bee-eaters and sunbirds.
