The Croatian railway service is run by Hrvatske Željeznice (HZ) (tel: 060 333 444; website: www.hznet.hr). Split station is at Obala Kneza Domagoja 10, opposite the ferry port and a five-minute walk from the old town. There are several trains per day connecting Split with Zagreb and Šibenik. Note that Dubrovnik is not connected to the rest of the country by train.
