Málaga City Guide - Excursions

Tours in Málaga

Málaga is usually regarded as an excursion from the Costa del Sol resorts. However if you wish to turn the tables, Marbella, with its many beaches, charming Old Town and glitzy Puerto Banús marina, is within easy distance. There is a direct bus from the airport.

Another popular excursion is by boat (75 minutes) to Benalmádena Costa. This is operated by Cruceros Málaga (tel: 952 122 288) and departs from near the ferry terminal in the port. (Alternatively you could catch the C1 train to Benalmádena). The boat arrives in this smart new marina resort with many bars, restaurants and family attractions geared to the holiday trade. Benalmádena ‘Pueblo', the original village 5km (3 miles) inland, is a charming traditional whitewashed village.

On a sunny weekend, hop on a local bus to the beaches at Pedragalejo where there is a very lively day and night scene plus excellent fish restaurants.
