It is home to the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra and aside from classical concerts also stages dance, operas and rock and pop concerts. The Teatro Alameda, Calle Córdoba 9 (tel: 952 213 412; website: www.teatroalameda.com) also stages ballet and dance.
The Teatro Cánovas, Plaza de El Ejido 5 (tel: 951 308 902) stages concerts, recitals and ballet. All venues also stage theatrical productions in Spanish only.
Large scale shows are occasionally staged at the Palacio de Deportes, Calle Miguel Mérida Nicolich 2 (tel: 952 176 392; website: www.palaciodeportesmalaga.com).
