Tours in Warsaw |
As Warsaw has become increasingly tourist friendly over the years, it has made allowances for various travellers by opening several budget and mid-range hotels, thereby completing the range between 5-star business travel and student hostels. Conveniently, the bulk of accommodation is found in or near the centre. Please note that, with the exception of the lower budget hotels and hostels, prices for rooms are usually quoted in euros.
The hotels below have been classed into four different pricing categories:
$$$$ (over €160)
$$$ (€120 to €160)
$$ (€65 to €120)
$ (up to €65)
These prices are based on the lowest standard rates for a double room, excluding taxes and excluding breakfast, unless otherwise specified.

Le Regina is a cut above the competition, and located just north of the Old Town in a quiet neighbourhood. It's housed in a gorgeous 18th-century palace and filled with period furniture, but it's modern where it counts, with sparkling new bathrooms and Wi-Fi connection throughout. Rooms are coloured in eye-catching chocolate and vanilla and are bright and breezy. Internet specials are often available.

Le Royal Meridien Bristol
One of Warsaw's finest, opened in 1899 only a few minutes' walk from the Old Town Square. As a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the Bristol must maintain a certain ambience and style which it does remarkably well. The rooms are decorated in muted tones with period-style wooden furniture and benefit from sweeping high ceilings. The lobby hosts several boutiques, a cigar store, and a newsagent. There are two restaurants and a super cafe with sinful desserts. The Marconi Restaurant offers a delicious all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch; the fitness room and pool are small.

Premiere Classe
It lives up to its name in cleanliness and prime location (very close to main train station) but this is a straightforward 'tourist class/budget' hotel with few frills beyond en-suite facilities and a colour TV with a satellite connection. Wi-Fi access is available from the first to fourth floors for a small fee. What you lose in character, you'll gain in saving zloty for more interesting pursuits.

Castle Oki Doki
Castle Oki Doki has plenty going for it. It's the only hotel within the limits of the Old Town, is stumbling distance from the Royal Castle, and is housed in a 17th-century tenement house that miraculously survived WWII. Rooms (most of which are 3-star, a handful 4) are colourful ensembles, each sporting a unique and playful theme, such as ‘Alice in Wonderland' or ‘Oriental Express'. Reservations recommended.
